WE ARE OUT OF NETWORK FOR ALL INSURANCE PLANS FOR THESE SERVICES

We are considered out of network for all insurances. We will provide an invoice/superbill that you can use to submit claims to your health insurance company for reimbursement.  Your reimbursement will depend on out of network coverage rates determined by your insurance company. These rates vary widely between insurance plans.

Consultation:

On your first visit, you will meet with your psychiatrist for 75-90 minutes.  During this appointment, your psychiatrist will explore the concerns that bring you to treatment and review in detail your history of prior treatments including medications and psychotherapy.

Your psychiatrist will discuss your medical and family history, learn more about you and your life during the evaluation. Evaluation is a process that may take more than one appointment. The initial consultation appointment can help to determine whether both you and your doctor agree that this is the best fit for your mental health care.

Treatment recommendations will be discussed including the pros and cons of different options. Your doctor may request your past medical records and order laboratory tests during this visit.

Follow-ups / Subsequent visits:

After your initial appointment, you will be scheduled for a follow-up.  Follow up appointments focus your progress and response to treatment.

How often you will be seen depends on your response to treatment and the severity of your symptoms. Appointments can be less frequent when you are stable and your symptoms have improved. At a minimum, you will need to be seen every 3 months.

Regular follow up appointments are 25 minutes.

When more time is needed to address all relevant issues concerning your mental health, you will be scheduled for an extended follow-up visit. Some common scenarios for longer visits are: your doctor is seeing you for psychotherapy in addition to managing medications, your family members or significant others are joining the session or if you have not been seen for 6 months.

Extended follow-up appointments are 45 minutes.
